Mountain tour starts from the Bad Valley and ends with the highest peak in Romania
Bad Valley (romanian: Valea Rea) is a valley situated in Fagaras mountains (Southern Carpathians); from here is the quickest route (and most difficult hence its name) to the highest mountain peak in Romania – the Moldoveanu peak.
The Bad Valley waterfall (cascada Valea Rea)
Bad Valley cave – one of the biggest caves in Romania and the richest in minerals. The cave spreads over 21 km and has the greatest vertical underground waterfall of Romania (the Ventilator Fall): 82 meters high. It was discovered in 1986 and it took nearly 10 years to fully explore it as it’s one of the most complex caves in the world. It’s closed to the public since it represents scientific ground.
